Chopt Brand Shoot

Inspired by ice cream, I art directed a photo shoot for Chopt’s proprietary fiber bowls.

The tall salad bowls are iconic to Chopt, and customers are a fan — they’re packed with delicious salad ingredients and dressings! However, the opaque salad bowls made it a challenge to photograph, especially at a 3/4 angle.

In searching for food styling inspiration, I came across some ice cream product photography and noticed they have a similar challenge — the containers are opaque, so the ice cream is piled high above the containers to allow customers to see the ice cream and it’s flavor.

At Chopt, we like to create salads as exciting as delectable treats like ice cream — why not use them for photography inspiration, too?

The result was a photography style and food styling totally unique and ownable to Chopt.
